50 Cent cries on cue in embarrassing American Ganster audition. The rapper is caught on tape trying to get a role in a crime drama but, it's, um, kind of hard to take seriously...
Find out more after the cut....This is all a bit embarrassing for hard as nails tough guy 50 Cent - an audition tape for 2007's American Gangster has emerged showing him attempting to have a little weep.
The movie was based on heroin kingpin Frank Lucas and the rapper - whose real name is Curtis Jackson - tried to land a part in the iconic film.
It's believed he wanted to play Frank's brother Huey Lucas, although Chiewetel Ejiofor was eventually cast in the role.
The tape's production quality resembles that of a home video, and it's quickly obvious why he missed out on a part.
It doesn't get much better when Fiddy tries to cry on demand - but it is rather funny, which is something.
Earlier this year, 50 Cent pleaded not guilty to domestic violence charges.
Meanwhile Denzel Washington - who starred as Frank in the movie - recently took to the big screen alongside Mark Wahlberg in buddy thriller 2 Gun. We're assuming his audition was slightly better.
