Enugu crisis latest: Chime bundles wife, four-year-old son from government house!!

The ongoing drama at the Enugu State Government House over the unlawful ‘incarceration’ of Mrs. Clara Chime, wife of Governor Sullivan Chime took a new dimension Sunday when the governor, with the assistance of security operatives, bundled the First Lady out of the Enugu Government House.

It was gathered that a helpless Clara was ejected from the Government House by the governor, alongside her 4-year-old son. She was taken to her mother’s residence at House 38, Coal City Estate, Enugu.
City wags say, when the security operatives got there, the mother was not at home, which forced them to sit in their cars waiting for her for hours.
It was learnt that after waiting endlessly, the governor, who was apparently embarrassed that the news of his wife’s eviction had become an open-secret and was attracting newsmen, rushed to the estate, and ordered that she should be brought back to the Government House.
However, he still intends to eject her Monday and hand her over directly to her mother.
His action, DailyPost learnt is not unconnected with his wife’s petition against him to the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) over her confinement in the Government House. ( Daily post)
Meanwhile, the NHRC yesterday said it had not conducted any medical investigation to determine the mental health of Mrs. Chime.
“The NHRC has no form of medical competence to establish the health status of Mrs Chime or any other person. The investigation is still on-going,” it said.
