Lady Gaga has been pressured into ditching the controversial song she wrote about Princess Diana’s death from her new album. The tastefully titled Princess Die was planned as one of the tracks on Artpop but worried record company bosses urged her to leave it off.Gaga, 27, performed the song at a concert in Twickenham last year and told a somewhat sceptical crowd that it was her way of paying homage to the royal, who died in a car crash in Paris in 1997. At the gig she said: “Since I was a very young girl, the People’s Princess was the most important person in me and my mother’s life.
