Jay Z has landed himself in trouble
with the Major League Baseball Players Association, it has been reported. NY Daily
News report that the Baseball union is investigating whether Jay
Z violated rules by giving an expensive watch worth almost $34,000 to Yankee
second baseman Robinson Cano. Jay - whose real name is Shawn Carter - gave the
watch to Robinson to celebrate his 31st birthday at a bash in Belgium on 22
October. The Shawn Carter Classic Fusion watch by Hublot was designed by
the rapper and entrepreneur himself. NY Daily News report that MLBPA
regulations do not allow agents to offer 'any money, or any other thing of value'
to players in order to influence them or persuade them to continue using their
services. MailOnline reached out to Jay Z's representatives at Roc Nation
who have so far been unable to comment.
